Alligators at the California Academy of Sciences

I shot a private event this past weekend at the California Academy of Sciences. One of the benefits is that the museum was mostly empty. I took advantage of this by wandering around the aquarium and checking things out.

Interestingly enough, since it was evening, many of the animals were actually active. Including the alligators.

Photojojo Photo Safari - Presidio and Palace of Fine Arts

The next installment of the photo safaris that I am helping to organize for the website Photojojo.com is here!

Photojojo Photo Safari - The Presidio and Palace of Fine Arts

Join us on Sunday, December 14th as we take a stroll through the Presidio of San Francisco.

All are welcome, and you can use any kind of camera you want.

ABOUT THE PRESIDIO ==========

The Presidio of San Francisco was established as an outpost by the Spanish in 1776. In 1846, the Presidio fell under control of the United States, who transformed the area from mostly bare, windswept dunes into a beautiful and sprawling military base located above the straits of the Golden Gate. In 1995, the Presidio was closed as a military base and transferred to the National Park Service, ending 219 years of use by the armed services.

WHERE TO MEET ================ We'll meet at 2PM at the corner of Bay St and Baker St.

AFTER SAFARI ================== After the safari, we'll head to a bar, show off our photos, and give away some prizes from our sponsor Adobe!

Bring your cameras and some friends and we'll see you on SUNDAY!

Bad Elevator Mojo

This afternoon, our apartment manager and another tenant were in the elevator with me and reminiscing about the "good old" days in our apartment building. Our apartment manager said he remembered about 15 years ago when the elevators were "really bad" and sometimes the doors would get stuck. With people inside the elevator. He then said, "we needed crowbars to pry the doors open and get them out."

Oh, no way. From now on, I'm walking up and down all 17 stories of our building.

And here's more bad elevator mojo. This time, about a guy who was stuck inside an elevator for 41 hours. Yikes!
